Inpatient Audit Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Audit Specialist PRN.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient facility coding audits and provide rationale for identified changes
• Organize and prioritize multiple cases to ensure optimal workflow and turnaround time
• Provide coder education through the auditing process and stay updated on regulatory changes

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing
• CCS certification required; RHIA or RHIT preferred
• Maintain a 95% DRG accuracy rate
• Experience with various software including Epic and Cerner
• Ability to function in a professional and customer-service focused manner
