Inpatient Auditor with AHIMA Credentials

Job Summary

Auditing inpatient cases for DRG validation, the full-time Inpatient Auditor with AHIMA Credentials will review medical records, provide detailed rationale for findings, and evaluate claim reimbursement potential, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Audit inpatient cases for DRG validation
• Review inpatient medical records for validation of DRG assignment
• Provide detailed rationale and supporting evidence for recommendations and findings

Required qualifications

• Current AHIMA credentials such as RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS required
• Experience with multiple EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Meditech
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with Microsoft Access experience being a plus
• Ability to organize workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Self-starter eager to learn and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment
