Inpatient Auditor with CCS Certification

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare consulting team, the part-time Inpatient Auditor with CCS Certification will conduct coding and documentation audits on inpatient facility records, provide results and recommendations to clients, and collaborate with clinical teams, all while working remotely in a flexible PRN capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Perform coding and documentation audits on inpatient facility records
• Deliver results and recommendations to clients while advocating for compliant documentation and coding practices
• Collaborate with coding and clinical team members to support consulting services and educate clients

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 12 years of clinical coding experience
• CCS certification with at least eight (8) years of clinical coding experience or a valid RN License with eight (8) years of acute care experience
• Recognized CDI credential from ACDIS (CCDS) or AHIMA (CDIP)
• Five (5+) years of CDI experience
• Two (2+) years of auditing experience
