Inpatient Claims Processor

Job Summary

Responsible for the timely and accurate payment of Commercial and Medicaid inpatient hospital claims, the full-time Inpatient Claims Processor will work from home, answering internal inquiries and responding to provider correspondence as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Review, process, and adjust inpatient claims while interpreting coding and medical terminology
• Analyze and apply plan concepts to claims, ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality standards
• Collaborate with internal departments and external providers to gather information and resolve claims issues

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of medical claims processing experience
• Proficiency in 10-key with a speed of 135 wpm and typing speed of at least 35 wpm
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, and ICD-10 codes
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and project a professional business image
