Inpatient Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder-HOSP.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and codes documentation for hospital inpatient medical records
• Selects and sequences appropriate ICD-9-CM diagnosis and procedure codes
• Applies ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes as applicable to the transition to ICD-10

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Coding Certificate program (AHIMA accredited) preferred
• 1 year of coding experience required
• Experience in coding at a multi-facility organization and remote coding experience preferred
• One or more certifications - RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H required
