Inpatient Coder (AHIMA/AAPC Certified)

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Inpatient Coder (AHIMA/AAPC Certified) to work remotely in a full-time capacity, where the specialist will utilize coding expertise to ensure accurate coding of inpatient records while meeting productivity targets and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Code inpatient records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnosis and procedure codes
• Maintain a coding quality of 95% or greater while meeting client productivity targets
• Adapt to changes in coding practices and regulations while working independently in a remote environment

Required qualifications:

• AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC, CIC, COC)
• Minimum of two years of recent inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting
• Knowledge of MS DRG Coding Classification Systems
• Technical competency with remote-based connectivity and office software
• Ability to maintain a committed regular schedule with reliable attendance
