Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder II, Inpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Assigns ICD diagnosis and procedure codes for Inpatient medical records and outpatient Infusion accounts, ensuring timely completion within a four-day bill hold timeframe
• Maintains a coding accuracy rate of 95% or better and meets established productivity standards
• Communicates with medical staff through Coding Queries to facilitate accurate coding and acts as a resource for coding-related questions

Required Qualifications

• Professional certification in medical coding
• Proficiency in ICD diagnosis and procedure coding, as well as CPT-4 coding classification systems
• Experience with health record management systems and coding software
• Ability to abstract clinical data with a high accuracy rate
• Commitment to ongoing education and training in coding practices
