Inpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Auditor and Appeals.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and extract details from patient medical records to craft defensible appeal letters
• Complete cases within time expectations while maintaining high-quality reviews
• Support the development of appeal letters and ensure compliance with coding guidelines

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma / GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 2+ years of inpatient coding experience required
• 1+ years of experience with DRG methodology
• Experience coding surgical procedures in an inpatient setting
• One of the following Coding Certifications required: CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CDIP, CCDS
