Inpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Auditor.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality reviews on coding staff, including offshore coders, using audit tools to analyze and track quality results
• Provide education and training to Coders based on audit findings and identify trends to improve overall Coder quality
• Collaborate with Managers and Supervisors to address performance needs and create training programs for Coders

Required Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification
• 2-5 years of experience in inpatient facility audits and coding
• Experience auditing offshore coding staff is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of coding guidelines, including ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and UASI audit software
