Inpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Auditor to perform audits and reviews of inpatient facility records remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inpatient coding audits and review services for various facility record types
• Identify trends from audit findings and recommend corrective action plans
• Provide in-service education and assist in designing educational seminars for clients

Required Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification
• 2-5 years of experience in inpatient facility audits and coding
• Initiative to conduct research to maintain knowledge and skills
• Ability to remain impartial in audit findings and presentations
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in audit software and HIPAA compliance
