Inpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Auditor.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of inpatient facility coding for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure adherence to coding guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
• Provide education and feedback to coding and QA team members based on audit findings

Required Qualifications

• Active coding credential: RHIA, RHIT, or CCS
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient facility auditing experience
• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRGs, and POA indicators
• Strong understanding of CMS regulations and compliance standards
• Experience supporting global or remote coding teams
