Job Summary
To support compliance initiatives within the Patient Revenue Management Organization, the full-time Inpatient Coding Compliance Specialist will implement and maintain compliance programs, conduct internal audits, and educate providers on government regulations, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain compliance programs in line with government regulations and guidelines
- Conduct routine internal audits of provider documentation and identify coding and billing risk areas
- Educate providers on compliance matters, particularly related to Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Four years of administrative experience in compliance, coding, and auditing principles
- Two years of experience with DRG's and APR-DRG's for technical coding
- RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification required; CPC or CPMA preferred
- Experience in formal teaching of coding is preferred
