Inpatient Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Specialist responsible for analyzing and auditing medical documentation for coding accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and audit documentation to ensure accurate code assignment
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to translate medical records and provide education
• Assist with quality audits, denial management, and monitor documentation trends

Required Qualifications and Education

• Associate or bachelor's degree in health information management or a related field with a coding certificate
• AHIMA or AAPC Certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Inpatient Hospital Coding experience
• Experience with ICD CM/PCS coding
• Familiarity with EPIC and computer skills
