Job Summary

Working fully remotely, the full-time Inpatient Coding Specialist will analyze and audit documentation to ensure accurate coding, collaborate with clinical staff, and assist with quality audits and denial management.

Key responsibilities
  • Analyze and audit medical record documentation for accurate coding assignment
  • Collaborate with providers and clinical documentation integrity staff to ensure compliance
  • Assist with quality audits, denial management, and reporting documentation trends
Required qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Health Information, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
  • AHIMA or AAPC Certifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of Inpatient Coding experience
  • Experience with ICD CM/PCS and working in a medical office
  • Familiarity with EPIC software
