Job Summary
Working fully remotely, the full-time Inpatient Coding Specialist will analyze and audit documentation to ensure accurate coding, collaborate with clinical staff, and assist with quality audits and denial management.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and audit medical record documentation for accurate coding assignment
- Collaborate with providers and clinical documentation integrity staff to ensure compliance
- Assist with quality audits, denial management, and reporting documentation trends
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in Health Information, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
- AHIMA or AAPC Certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Inpatient Coding experience
- Experience with ICD CM/PCS and working in a medical office
- Familiarity with EPIC software
