Inpatient Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Revenue Cycle Coding Supervisor - Inpatient Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage acute inpatient coding and abstracting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines
• Analyze coding operations for process improvement and monitor compliance with regulations affecting coding and reimbursement
• Provide leadership and support in the development and implementation of coding policies, training programs, and operational documentation

Required Qualifications

• An associate degree in Health Information Management or equivalent education and experience
• Registered Health Information Technologist or Administrator (RHIT/RHIA) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification
• Current membership in the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient coding experience in a complex healthcare organization
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines and their application
