Inpatient Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to complex inpatient visit types
• Thoroughly review provider notes and documentation for accurate coding
• Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) and educate on regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years' experience in an Academic Medical Center with Inpatient Coding
• Current CCS, CIC, RHIA, or RHIT certification
• Excellent computer/communication skills for provider and staff interactions
• Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience with EPIC or Cerner preferred, 3M 360 CAC experience required
