Inpatient Medical Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Medical Coder - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and apply appropriate ICD-10 and PCS Diagnosis codes for coding and billing
• Maintain compliance with coding guidelines and achieve a coding accuracy of 95% while meeting productivity standards
• Communicate with physicians regarding documentation discrepancies and ensure timely coding of charts

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience coding Inpatient records
• 3+ years of experience with ICD-10 and PCS coding
• Must hold one of the following credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, or CPC
