Inpatient UM Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a UM Coordinator (Inpatient, Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with managing daily census and admissions, including entering face sheets for hospitals and skilled nursing facilities
• Obtain and attach medical records to authorizations and enter referral requests in the system using ICD 10 and CPT coding
• Maintain documentation on facilities contacted and assist with member records and correspondence as needed

Required Qualifications

• Inpatient concurrent review experience
• Experience with census and admission management and discharge planning
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10, and CPT codes
• High school diploma or GED, or four years of additional experience in lieu of education
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to type a minimum of 50 words-per-minute
