Inside Plant Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for planning, designing, and maintaining AC and DC power and cooling infrastructure, the full-time Inside Plant Engineer will manage project specifications, coordinate with various teams, and ensure compliance with performance standards in a virtual environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and write detailed installation procedures and technical specifications for projects
• Track capital costs and manage project budgets to ensure adherence to financial limits
• Conduct quality inspections of installations and maintain accurate facility records and regulatory documents

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in telecommunications
• Experience in Carrier Hotels, CLEC/ILEC Central Offices, and collocation facilities
• Proficiency in QuickBase, Microsoft Word, Excel, CAD, and Visio
• Knowledge of ILEC standards and installation procedures
• Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
