Instructional Designer

Job Summary

Collaborating with faculty to enhance online and hybrid learning experiences, the full-time Instructional Designer will design, develop, and improve courses while providing expert consultation and support in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with faculty to design and enhance online and hybrid courses using evidence-based instructional design methodologies
• Serve as an advanced Canvas LMS practitioner, supporting faculty in course structure, assessments, and troubleshooting
• Design and facilitate faculty development initiatives, including workshops and training programs, to advance teaching effectiveness

Required qualifications

• Significant experience in instructional design within higher education
• Advanced expertise in Canvas LMS and instructional technology integration
• Deep knowledge of Quality Matters (QM) and WCAG accessibility standards
• Experience in assessing student learning outcomes and utilizing data for course improvement
• Exceptional consultation and relationship-building skills
