Instructional Designer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a part-time capacity, the Instructional Designer will evaluate course recommendations, redesign assignments vulnerable to AI substitution, and enhance course content to improve the learning experience for students in the Future Learning Lab.
Key responsibilities
- Review course analysis and exercise professional judgment on recommendations for course improvement
- Lead the redesign of assignments and assessments to mitigate AI substitution risks
- Update course content for relevance and integrate faith elements into course design
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and a Certificate in Instructional Design; Master's preferred
- Experience in instructional design or course development, preferably in higher education
- Knowledge of adult learning theory, Quality Matters standards, and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in course development
- Proficiency with LMS platforms and instructional design tools
