Job Summary
To support the U.S. Naval Community College (USNCC) in enhancing online education, two full-time Instructional Designers will design, develop, and maintain undergraduate-level asynchronous and competency-based courses remotely, collaborating with faculty and subject matter experts to ensure high-quality instructional content.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain fully online undergraduate-level asynchronous and competency-based education courses and modules
- Collaborate with faculty and SMEs to align curriculum, learning outcomes, instructional content, and assessments
- Apply evidence-based instructional design practices and maintain accessibility standards in course development
Required qualifications
- 7 years of experience developing online asynchronous and competency-based education courses for accredited institutions
- 7 years of experience applying andragogical best practices in instructional design for adult learners
- 7 years of experience designing faculty-development courses aimed at enhancing online teaching effectiveness
- 7 years of experience creating online courses that foster student success in online learning environments
- 7 years of experience operating and maintaining a Learning Management System (LMS) in a higher education or government training context
