Job Summary
Transforming technical tactical procedures into engaging web-based training, the full-time Instructional Systems Designer will support the Department of Homeland Security by developing interactive computer-based training modules while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the instructional design lifecycle from needs analysis and storyboarding to final evaluation using ADDIE and SAM models
- Build rich, engaging CBT/WBT courses utilizing authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or Lectora
- Collaborate with federal stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate complex safety concepts into clear educational designs
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design, specifically focused on computer-based training (CBT) and web-based modules
- Professional certification in Instructional Design, Education, or Training and Development
- Mastery of Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar rapid-authoring systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background suitability check
