Job Summary
A company is looking for an Insurance Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare complex supporting workpapers, reconciliations, and journal entries for insurance operations
- Coordinate settlement of accounts with external insurance companies and brokers
- Assist with quarterly and annual SEC reporting, annual audits, and insurance department exams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Experience in public accounting or within the property & casualty industry
- Proficient in MS Office Products, with advanced skills in Excel
- CPA designation preferred
- Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations
