Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Handling complex claim scenarios, the full-time Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist will resolve high-complexity insurance accounts, mentor staff, and assist with escalated issues in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve out-of-network claims and write appeals while managing a greater volume of complex billing tasks
• Utilize billing systems and payer websites to address unpaid or incorrectly paid claims and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Train and mentor new hires, providing guidance on complex claims and departmental processes

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a related field preferred
• Previous experience in a customer service or healthcare setting required
• Advanced knowledge of billing systems and denial management
• Experience writing appeals and handling escalated claim issues
• Ability to coach and mentor team members effectively
