Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

To support timely and accurate reimbursement processes, the full-time Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist will perform entry-level insurance billing tasks, including submitting claims and following up on outstanding balances, in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform billing-related tasks such as data entry, claim review, and accounts receivable follow-up
• Resolve entry-level insurance denials related to medical records, eligibility, and coordination of benefits
• Utilize billing systems and payer websites to address unpaid or underpaid claims and escalate complex issues as necessary

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a customer service or healthcare setting preferred
• Basic knowledge of medical facility layout and department functions (training provided)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
