Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Handling complex claim scenarios, the full-time remote Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist III will resolve out-of-network claims, review and write appeals, and mentor staff while ensuring compliance with billing practices and payer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve high-complexity insurance accounts, including denials related to medical necessity and out-of-network claims
• Manage billing-related tasks such as data entry, claim review, and accounts receivable follow-up
• Train and mentor new hires while providing guidance to team members on complex claim issues

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred
• Previous experience in a customer service or healthcare setting required
• Advanced knowledge of billing systems and denial management
• Experience writing appeals and handling escalated claim issues
• Ability to coach, train, and mentor team members
