Insurance and Risk Management Executive

Job Summary

As the Head of Insurance and Risk Management, this full-time remote role will own the comprehensive asset-level insurance and risk management strategy for clean energy and power infrastructure projects, leading risk transfer strategies and collaborating with various teams to negotiate complex insurance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive framework for insurance and risk management, guiding leadership on key insurance decisions
• Lead project insurance placements by designing program limits and coordinating underwriting preparation
• Manage claims and loss prevention efforts, ensuring effective incident response and post-loss mitigation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in corporate risk management and insurance placement, focusing on Property & Casualty coverage in energy or utility-scale infrastructure
• Proven ability to translate industrial property risk into clean energy market solutions
• Deep expertise in evaluating and negotiating insurance covenants and liability clauses in project finance documentation
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing major loss claims and underwriter presentations
