Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Appeals Specialist to manage and respond to insurance deductions on defense counsel invoices.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the review, research, and preparation of timely appeal responses to insurance deductions
• Collaborate with the Billing and Collections team to submit appeals and track outcomes
• Develop strategies to improve compliance with billing guidelines and reduce deductions

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree required; JD strongly preferred
• 5+ years of experience in legal bill review or insurance defense work
• Experience as an attorney or paralegal at a large law firm or major insurance company
• Vast knowledge of insurance company Defense Counsel Billing Guidelines
• Proficiency in legal billing software and Microsoft Office applications
