Job Summary

Insurance Authorization Coordinator ensures that benefit information, authorization, and patient liability are obtained prior to clinical staff starting care, working full-time in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and document accurate benefit information and authorizations from various insurance companies
  • Monitor and manage insurance-related tasks and eligibility verification in the EMR system
  • Assist clinical staff and billing department with funding source issues and discrepancies
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree or a combination of experience and business courses preferred
  • Minimum of one year of experience in insurance verification, authorization, or medical billing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party insurance requirements
  • Familiarity with HomeCare Homebase preferred
