Insurance Authorization Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Authorizations-Insurance Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all inpatient/observation stay authorizations and referral numbers are present in the EMR system for discharged patients
• Collaborate with financial services personnel to resolve any missing authorizations and research denials
• Review and process daily discharged patient reports to ensure accurate authorization/referral numbers are posted correctly

Required Qualifications

• Experience in patient financial services or a related field
• Knowledge of insurance authorization processes and procedures
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Proficiency in using EMR and document imaging systems
• Strong analytical skills for ensuring positive financial outcomes on accounts
