Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Authorization Specialist II.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain authorizations for elective procedures, services, and tests to financially clear patients
• Contact insurance companies to determine eligibility and benefits for requested services
• Ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures in alignment with authorization obtained

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience in a medical environment, or an Associate's degree with 1 year of experience
• 3 years of experience with medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes preferred
• Understanding of authorization processes and insurance guidelines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Basic computer skills
