Insurance Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

To support clinical trials, the full-time remote Insurance Authorization Specialist will verify insurance policy benefits, obtain authorizations for services not covered by clinical trials, and ensure a high level of customer service for patients and team members.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits and compile lists of standard care procedures for clinical trial patients
• Request and manage authorizations for services, ensuring continuity of care and addressing any coverage changes
• Provide exceptional customer service as a liaison between patients and support staff, maintaining effective communication across the organization

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 2 years of related experience and 1+ years of healthcare experience
• Preferably an Associate's Degree with experience in healthcare insurance authorization
