Insurance Billing Assistant

Job Summary

Performing follow-up on insurance billing and collection activities, the full-time remote Insurance Billing Assistant will verify the accuracy of insurance records and claims, contact insurance companies, and expedite payments for physician services.

Key responsibilities

• Conducts insurance follow-up billing and collection duties to ensure timely payment of physician charges
• Reviews patient accounts for accuracy of insurance information, eligibility, and invoice resolution
• Utilizes Epic and payer websites for claim submissions and inquiries while supporting customer service with billing questions

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification
• Three years of experience in billing or insurance
• Familiarity with claims resolution and medical billing processes
• Proficiency in using Epic EHR and Microsoft Office applications
• No specific certification or professional license required
