Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Claim Specialist responsible for managing patient account balances and ensuring compliance with billing regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Submits accurate and timely claims to third party payers
  • Resolves claim edits and account errors prior to claim submission
  • Contacts third party payers to resolve unpaid claims
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year medical billing/medical office experience preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to professional billing
  • Ability to utilize payer portals and websites for claim status verification
  • Experience with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices
