Job Summary

Insurance Claims Specialist is a full-time position responsible for managing patient account balances, ensuring accurate claim submissions, compliance with regulations, and assisting with denial management while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Submits accurate and timely claims to third party payers and resolves claim edits prior to submission
  • Follows up with third party payers to ensure collections and assists with denials investigation
  • Completes reports and performs clerical duties to support departmental operations
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of medical billing or medical office experience preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to hospital billing
  • Ability to operate business equipment and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity
  • Experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding processes preferred
