Insurance Claims Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure the financial viability of healthcare operations, the full-time Insurance Claims Specialist will manage patient account balances, submit accurate claims, follow up on denials, and provide customer support in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Submits accurate and timely claims to third party payers while resolving claim edits and account errors
• Adheres to procedures for follow-up with payers to ensure collections and achieve departmental goals
• Completes reports and performs clerical duties to support departmental operations

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of medical billing or medical office experience
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding processes preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
• Ability to utilize payer portals for claim status verification and follow-up
