Insurance Claims Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Insurance Claims Specialist will resolve unpaid and denied claims by utilizing proprietary software, reviewing medical documentation, and maintaining client relationships in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve unpaid/denied claims through software, phone calls, and client systems
• Review medical documentation to determine appropriate actions for claim resolution
• Meet monthly production and quality expectations while complying with HIPAA privacy laws

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of physician and/or hospital accounts receivable follow-up experience
• Knowledge of UB04 claim forms, EOBs, and medical records preferred
• At least one year of experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or other EMR systems preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
