Insurance Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure timely payments and account accuracy, the full-time remote Insurance Collections Specialist will manage delinquent accounts, perform collection activities, and resolve billing issues while adhering to compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitors delinquent accounts and performs collection duties
• Contacts patients to secure past due balances and resolves billing inquiries
• Reviews payment postings for accuracy and recommends accounts for collection or write-off

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum two (2) years of combined medical billing and payment experience required
• Knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing required
• Understanding of state and federal collections guidelines
• Must complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying the position
