Insurance Collections Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Remote Insurance Collections Specialist will manage insurance verifications, authorizations, and benefit inquiries while ensuring high production quality and low denial rates.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve 100% production quantity and maintain a quality benchmark of 90% through audits
• Effectively verify patient benefits and obtain required authorizations, maintaining a denial rate of less than 10%
• Manage assigned schedules for insurance authorization requirements and patient demographics within designated timeframes

Required qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in a healthcare or healthcare claims environment is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to insurance financial clearance, medical collections, and billing (CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS)
• Previous experience with remote work and OH Insurance Payers for prior authorizations
