Insurance Credit Specialist

Job Summary

To support a nationwide revenue cycle management team, the full-time remote Insurance Credit Specialist will analyze accounts and credit balance reports, resolve patient and insurance credit balance refunds, and communicate with insurance carriers to gather necessary information.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze accounts and credit balance reports from insurance carriers and patients
• Resolve both patient and insurance credit balance refunds in a timely manner
• Document all requests and concerns received regarding patient accounts

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent (GED) required; associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration preferred
• One year of experience in insurance billing and follow-up for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers required
• Experience analyzing explanation of benefits (EOBs) from various insurance companies
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding
