Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time Insurance Follow-Up Specialist will manage patient accounts through insurance payors to ensure proper reimbursement, working remotely from Jacksonville, FL.

Key responsibilities
  • Review insurance denials and determine appropriate actions to secure payment
  • Appeal claims denied for reasons such as lack of authorization or medical necessity
  • Communicate with payors via phone, email, and portals to resolve claim discrepancies
Required qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of medical claims processing experience
  • Ability to read and understand Explanation of Benefits and denial reasons
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows-based programs, including Word and Excel
  • Experience with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and other commercial insurance carriers
  • Familiarity with Workman's Compensation processes
