Job Summary
To support a growing medical practice, the full-time remote Insurance Follow Up Specialist will review insurance denials, verify patient information and insurance eligibility, and manage outstanding accounts to ensure timely claims processing and maximum reimbursement.
Key responsibilities
- Review insurance denials and rejections to determine appropriate action steps for resolution
- Verify patient demographic information and insurance eligibility, coordinating benefits as necessary
- Analyze accounts for proper claims processing and communicate trends or issues to management
Required qualifications
- Minimum two to three years of experience in medical billing
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of physician billing processes, ICD-10, and CPT coding
- Experience with computer systems, particularly GE patient management systems preferred
