Insurance Follow-up Specialist

Job Summary

To support financial health goals, the full-time remote Insurance Follow-up Specialist will manage outstanding insurance balances on hospital and physician patient accounts, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with company and federal guidelines.

Key responsibilities:

• Effectively manage assigned insurance receivables to meet business line expectations and cash recovery goals
• Complete timely follow-up on accounts to prevent cash loss and ensure resolution within 90 days of placement
• Document actions taken for account resolution and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations

Required qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in a healthcare receivables environment
• High School Diploma
• Familiarity with patient accounting software and basic computer skills
• Proficient numeracy skills and knowledge of administrative procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, hospitals, and insurance companies
