Insurance Follow-Up Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Insurance Follow-Up Specialist will resolve unpaid and denied insurance claims by utilizing proprietary software, reviewing medical documentation, and engaging with clients and insurance carriers.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve unpaid/denied claims through software, phone calls, and correspondence
• Review medical documentation to determine appropriate actions for claim resolution
• Meet monthly production and quality expectations while complying with HIPAA regulations

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of physician and/or hospital accounts receivable experience preferred
• Familiarity with UB04 claim forms, EOBs, and medical records preferred
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or other EMR systems preferred
• Basic computer skills and ability to work effectively in a remote environment
