Job Summary
To assist in financial clearance for patient care, the full-time remote Insurance Pre-authorization Specialist will obtain insurance certifications, verify patient information, and evaluate financial assistance options.
Key responsibilities:
- Obtains certification from insurance companies for all office visits
- Verifies insurance information and registers cases in the tracking system
- Reviews alternatives to admission and guides patients in applying for financial assistance
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of insurance policies, claims, payment, and coverage regulations
- Experience with data entry and customer service
- Ability to perform investigative and follow-up work related to reimbursement issues
