Insurance Program Manager

Job Summary

To design and administer commercial property/casualty insurance and self-insurance programs, the full-time remote Insurance Program Manager will collaborate with University leadership and risk managers to identify risks, evaluate coverage needs, and ensure alignment with contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Chief Risk Officer and insurance brokers to identify exposures and coverage needs
• Advise leadership on risk management and insurance coverage interpretation
• Lead risk and insurance efforts during potential acquisitions and advocate for favorable insurance requirements in contract reviews

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior commercial insurance or risk management experience is required
• Preferred insurance designations such as CPCU, ARM, or AU
• Thorough working knowledge of insurance policy forms, coverage, and underwriting practices
• Strong organizational and time management skills
