Insurance Refunds Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Refunds Specialist responsible for processing and reconciling insurance overpayments and refunds.

Key Responsibilities

• Review insurance payments and account balances to identify overpayments or refund needs
• Process insurance refunds in compliance with payer rules and internal procedures
• Communicate with insurance companies to verify overpayments and resolve discrepancies

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in related fields preferred
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred
• Experience in medical or pharmacy billing, insurance processing, or revenue cycle operations
• Strong understanding of EOBs, ERAs, and payer guidelines
• Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office tools
