Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare organization, the full-time Insurance Reimbursement Auditor will be responsible for reviewing and following up on paid insurance claims, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring accurate reimbursement while working onsite in Louisville, Kentucky.
Key responsibilities
- Perform thorough research of paid claims and follow up with payers on outstanding amounts due
- Analyze claim remittances to determine reimbursement rates and identify underpayment opportunities
- Document follow-up efforts and maintain communication with payers regarding discrepancies and contract agreements
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of billing, insurance follow-up, or insurance payor experience
- Experience with ICD-10, revenue codes, CPT-4, and HCPCS
- Moderate computer proficiency, including knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience working directly with explanation of benefits (EOBs) and payer contracts
