Insurance Reimbursement Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Reimbursement Specialist II.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up on insurance and government payer balances to ensure prompt payment and resolve claims inquiries
• Analyze A/R reports and work with payer websites and tools for timely payment and reimbursement verification
• Identify and correct coding and billing errors, and support the Revenue Cycle with reporting and appeals

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; Billing Specialist Certification or Associate's degree preferred
• 5 years of experience in a hospital or medical office with knowledge of commercial and government payer types
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with 1500 or UB billing forms
• Ability to navigate payer websites and understand billing requirements and regulatory guidelines
• Understanding of medical terminology and experience with hospital and professional EMR billing
